2011 space open (thanks troy)

My name is Aaron Luke and I named my five acre farm Aslan's How Organics. I kept the season short this first year: good times and harder times. I am taking applications for my extra land and for new CSA members in 2011. I manage:
three 1 acre parcels of organically-certified land
seven food stamp CSA members
free community garden space (ground prepared, must farm organically)
free community-event hayloft space (sound system, projector, presentation screen, lighting, 75 people-ish max)

The applications are at: aslans-how-organics.com . I leased once acre to a Latino family in 2010. The Latino family build a large greenhouse, had a traditional Oaxaca beef buried cooking, and might have extra space in their greenhouse in 2011. I have 1 acre plots with a 2" water main in the middle of the acre. You also get barn storage space as a lessee. I have a parlor and space for a milking cow, and neighbors with bulk hay for sale. It is a "collective" because we:
are all organically certified, each lessee as "manager"
buy/spread cow manure/calprill together
coordinate equipment rentals when possible
buy/spread bulk cover crop seed
share the same 2" sand point well
cooperate, etc

I am in Bow; the growing season is about 1 month behind southern Skagit County. I have been working on better drainage: pulled a v-ditch and plowed contour ditches, but most likely a month behind the West Mount Vernon. My land is a narrow 265' but a 1/4 mile long.

I hope the best for you, take care,
+Aaron
