the sleeping hills

After taking November off I am continuing to close down my farm in December. I still have cabbage that I eat with eggs. WD foods will buy my produce! Looking forward to working with Carolyn, Jonathan, and Salvidor next year. My fourth year of organic farming.

I remember when...

  1. This picture is so 'late Summer'. Sweet memories on a beautiful late November afternoon, lowering snow-filled clouds blown across Blanchard Mtn as darkness falls.
    Thinking of you man.
Reading back I can't believe how much you are learning. I have to come hang out build a fire and talk, build a fire in our dreams, winters harvest, eh?

  2. Butchered my second turkey today, 32 lbs. Winters work for sure. It was much easier today than the first one I did last week in 18 degrees. They were such good birds, put on so much weight so easily and went quietly at the end. We will say grace(undeserved blessing) when we next eat Turkey.

  3. Godsend I have always respected your silly and spiritual take on life. When you called the greenhouse decidedly 3rd world ... and great, when you visited me in my Japanese farming philosophy mess.
