(featherstone)

Ann with PSFN is coming to my farm. Her husband... and Sarai's husband maybe could have a distilery in my barn! Ann said most of the AmeriCorp workers she knows are on food stamps and might buy from me next year! PSFN = $200/yr for a wholesale market by the Skagit Valley Food Coop, and other? Will I over plant as much next year?

Oh dood I met Rene Featherstone at Focus on Farming. 3 year cycle: produce : grain : legume . Put a shorter oil in with the grain and produce my own power without emissions from a converted diesel generator. Spread manure every year as it takes four years to release all of its nitrogen. 100lbs: 30lbs first year, 30lbs second, 30lbs third, diminished amount fourth year.

Holy all the talk about natural nitrogen release from no till microbial mass! Round up doesn't do as much damage to the microbial mass as tilling! All the wormers work so hard to make the soil their liver.

At Boundary Bay, talked with Greg Reed, Persephone intern, SHS graduate... ah man so good. My dear buddy Harley recommended learning permaculture from the radish faeri guy Michael Pilarksi! He is coming to Bellingham! Harley also wants me to see the Laotian farmers in South Seattle: Thistle & 42nd by Martin Luther King Jr Way.
