First off I am totally sympathetic to Alm Hill and others who are facingthis problem. It sucks and we totally support you and feel for you asimportant people in our food comminuty.I do think, however this highlights the need we face as an organiccommunity to stop thinking of the wastes of a chemical based industrialagriculture as "resources". The integrity of our product as organicgrowers is only as good as the integrity of the inputs to our farmingsystem and by relying on a dramatically flawed system we are vulnerable tothis kind of thing (whether its hormones, antibiotics, GMO contamination,or in this case chemical residues.) The same thing has happened withclopyralid residue from east side straw and grain.I hope if we are to learn from this serious loss, we begin some discussionon creative fertility and soil management that leaves industrial ag out ofthe picture. We cannot continue to think of ourselves as "sustainable" aslong as we perpetuate a dependence on unsustainable practices of others.

Feeling your pain, Alm Hill.
In solidarity
Brian
