I closed my retail store yesterday. I have one more dragon carrot, cabbage, fava bean order for Rhody. I wanted to tell you about donated produce. So I took my produce to work and some colleagues picked up a little. Then I took the rest to the Gleaners, who pass food to Russian/Latino immigrants etc. She normally leaves at 12 but stayed around to receive my order at 4pm. She said 'Your produce was worth hanging around for.' (!) I was so happy! She said the Russian mommas would fight over my cabbage. Gosh, I left smiling... the dear organic produce. Organic by the sweat of my brow and that of my friends.
